Sydney has known since high school that she wanted to have a career in medicine. "I chose physician assistant school after a lot of shadowing and volunteering! Plastic and reconstructive surgery has been an interest of mine since I was a scribe before PA school," says Sydney.

Being born and raised in Springfield, Sydney always knew she wanted her career to be here. She specifically highlights the care she has received from Springfield Clinic as a driving factor in joining the Clinic.

Sydney completed her undergraduate degree at Quincy University and her Master of Medical Science degree at Saint Louis University in 2021. She is passionate about working with patients to make them feel comfortable with the surgical process. "It can be scary navigating a surgical procedure and spending the extra time on patient education makes all the difference," she says.

In her free time, Sydney enjoys playing tennis and taking hikes with her dog. She also looks forward to getting more involved in the community.
