Christina Tucker, APRN, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Cancer Center team and sees patients at Springfield Clinic 1st - 900 Building. She collaborates with Dr. Preet Paul Singh.
Christina earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University College of Nursing in Addison, Ill., and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. John's College of Nursing in Springfield, Ill. Christina has more than 25 years of oncology nursing experience including five years at Springfield Clinic from 2013-2018.
Christina cites her desire to help people as the reason she found herself in a nursing career. "Helping someone feel better and providing them with the tools they need to overcome their illness is why I love what I do," she says.
Her partnership with her patients throughout their cancer care journey is what drives Christina everyday. "Creating a safe, judgement-free environment for patients to share their feelings is important," she says. "Cancer is a word that provokes feelings of uncertainty and anxiety, so I hope to aid in easing some of that for patients and assist them in healing."
In her free time, Christina enjoys exercising (particularly on her Peloton), hiking, working around the yard and spending time in her pool. She also enjoys spending time with her family and their two cats and dog.
