Originally from El Paso, Ill., Tyler Evans, MD, FACS, is a Presidential Scholar and Summa Cum Laude graduate from Illinois State University where he majored in biochemistry and molecular biology.
Dr. Evans earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois Chicago. Upon finishing his medical degree, Dr. Evans completed a six-year integrated residency in plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Finding a passion for the intricacy of the hand, he then decided to pursue an additional orthopedic fellowship in hand & upper extremity at The Ohio State University School of Medicine in Columbus.
Dr. Evans brings a unique background to the central Illinois region with his plastic and orthopedic surgery training. Providing “head to toe” reconstructive expertise in conjunction with his extensive hand and upper extremity training, he creates the most up-to-date and minimally invasive care plans for all of his patients.
Beyond reconstructive and hand-related surgery, he also delivers advanced anti-aging treatments thanks to the help of neuromodulators, lasers, peels, injectable fillers, medical-grade skin care and aesthetic surgeries including mommy makeovers, breast augmentation/lifts, breast reductions, facelifts, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery and more.
Dr. Evans is an active learner, always researching and looking for new ways he can continue to push the envelope to ensure the best care and outcomes for his patients. He values his patients and makes sure to take his time listening and understanding his patients’ concerns to bring a holistic approach to his surgical interventions.
He performs the majority of his surgical procedures at Springfield Clinic’s state-of-the-art AAAHC-accredited office facility in Peoria Heights and at Springfield Clinic’s Peoria Surgery Center.
