Elizabeth Talbert, APRN, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Family Medicine team. She collaborates with Dr. Dennis Carroll and sees patients at Springfield Clinic Lincoln.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Bradley University in Peoria and her Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington. Prior to joining Springfield Clinic, she served as a registered nurse in Urbana for five years.

"I always knew I wanted to be in health care," says Elizabeth. "Growing up I remember watching ER with my mom and playing 'doctor' regularly. My health care career officially began when I obtained my CNA license in high school."

She chose central Illinois and Springfield Clinic because of her deep appreciation for serving rural and underserved populations.

"I believe it is important to see my patients as people first," says Elizabeth. "Patients need a primary care provider who will embrace their lived experiences, vulnerabilities, celebrations or fears."

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with her husband and son.
