Cody Williams, MD, provides care with the Springfield Clinic's Cardiology Department and sees patients at our Springfield Clinic 1st - 800 Building.
Dr. Williams earned his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. He completed his residency and electrophysiology fellowship at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans. He also completed a cardiovascular diseases fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Dr. Williams wanted to get into medicine since he was a young kid, pointing to a family friend of his who was a physician. "I got to see him go through that journey and transition," he says. "It just reinforced it for me that it was a good way to help people."
In his practice, Dr. Williams specializes in irregular heart rhythms including heart palpitations and AFib.
Dr. Williams is focused on being a trusted partner for patients in their heart health care. "I know how important it is for patients to have somebody in their doctor that they can trust," he says.
In his free time, Dr. Williams enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids and taking walks with their dog.
