Calvin Moy, MD, is with Springfield Clinic’s Family Medicine Department seeing patients at Springfield Clinic Wabash. He joined Springfield Clinic in 2020.
Dr. Moy earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed his residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria. Prior to joining Springfield Clinic, he provided care for eight years in Pontiac, Ill.
“According to my parents, I always wanted to go into medicine,” says Dr. Moy. “But truly it was high school. I volunteered at a hospital and learned what hospital medicine was like and what it meant to help patients when they were sickest.”
Dr. Moy’s scope of practice ranges from seeing children to the elderly focused on helping his patients transition through life from each stage to the next.
“My main motivating factor is seeing the family dynamic and how that affects individual health,” says Dr. Moy. “We must have a lot of compassion for our patients and their caregivers going through life stressors and provide them with a perspective on how to address their health issues or their family member’s health issues.”
In his free time, Dr. Moy enjoys spending time with his family.
