Bridget Kistner, MD, provides care with Springfield Clinic's Radiology Department.
Dr. Kistner earned her medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, and completed her residency in diagnostic radiology, with dual certification in nuclear radiology, at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She completed a fellowship in abdominal imaging at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
"In sixth grade, I knew I wanted to be a doctor," says Dr. Kistner. "I was drawn to science classes in school and wanted a career that helped people and would challenge me."
Dr. Kistner's specialties include abdominal imaging and molecular imaging. She is particularly interested in reading MRI and PET/CT scans.
"Radiology plays a central role in health care as nearly everyone will need imaging studies at some point in their life," says Dr. Kistner.
In her free time, Dr. Kistner enjoys traveling and trying out new restaurants.
