Angelia Royer, PA-C, provides care with Springfield Clinic Orthopedics, currently seeing patients at Orthopedics Walk-In in the Springfield Clinic 1st - 800 Building.
Angelia earned her Master of Medical Science degree from St. Louis University and her Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. She has more than 25 years of experience in health care providing care not only in central Illinois but also in South Carolina and Missouri.
Angelia is passionate about helping active individuals recover and thrive. A central Illinois native, Angelia was inspired by her parents, both long-time health care professionals, to pursue a career in medicine. “Both my parents were in the medical field,” she says. “They each dedicated over 30 years to caring for others.”
She began her career as a certified athletic trainer, working with high school, college and semi-professional athletes. Her experience led her to become a Physician Assistant, where she found fulfillment in team-based care and patient education. “I loved seeing the ability to work as a team member and improving the health care of individuals,” says Angelia.
At Springfield Clinic, Angelia focuses on building strong relationships with her patients. “I enjoy collaborating with patients and finding common ground to improve their quality of life,” she explains.
Outside the Clinic, Angelia stays active in the sports community and is an avid pickleball player. She enjoys helping athletes recover from injuries and return to the activities they love.
“I utilized Springfield Clinic as a child and adolescent. Now, as an adult, I am so happy to continue to be a part of this community of caring,” Angelia says.
