Colleen Silva, MD, is joining Springfield Clinic’s Dermatology Department effective Aug. 29, 2022. She will be seeing patients in the Peoria area at a new facility, Springfield Clinic Peoria Allen (9010 North Allen Rd.).

She chose Springfield Clinic and central Illinois to return closer to her family and her hometown of Ottawa, Ill.

“The one thing I can really bring to Peoria is the passion to build something that is and remains here for the community,” she says. “We are going to be here, and we are going to take care of you.” 

Dr. Silva earned her medical degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla., and completed her dermatology residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center & College of Medicine in Hershey, Penn. 

“Medicine is the perfect balance,” she says. “I get to help people and really make a difference in people’s lives, which is an amazing experience.” 

In her free time, Colleen loves baking, hiking and spending time with her two daughters, husband and other family.

The Springfield Clinic Peoria Allen facility, located off IL Route 6 in Prairie Point Shopping Center, includes seven exam rooms, two procedure rooms with ample patient parking close to the entrance.
