Springfield Clinic’s Endoscopy unit in our Ambulatory Surgery and Endoscopy Center and Pain Clinic (ASC) was recently accepted into the Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. ASGE’s Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program honors units that have demonstrated a commitment to delivering quality and safety as reflected in their unit policies, credentialing, staff training and competency assessments and quality improvement activities.
“ASGE has approximately 15,000 members worldwide and provides the most current information, cutting edge education and unmatched resources to promote physician efficiency and patient care planning,” says John Vickers, ASC nurse manager for endoscopy and pain services.
“Our team is now able to utilize ASGE resources, which empowers us to deliver the quality care the community has come to expect from Springfield Clinic.”
ASGE’s recognition program allows endoscopy units to gain recognition, be prepared to meet changing expectations and promote a culture of uniformity and continuous quality improvement. ASGE’s recognition program features a variety of benefits that GI units can use to promote and celebrate the high-quality, safe, patient-centered care they deliver. Learn more at www.asge.org
