Pediatric Healthy Lifestyle Center

About Us

Springfield Clinic’s Pediatric Healthy Lifestyle Center was developed to provide comprehensive, personalized and family-centered care for pediatric weight management. We are here to empower children through early interventions, education and support. This is one of the first weight management programs catered specifically toward the pediatric population, led by board-certified pediatric obesity specialists.

Childhood obesity is a serious health concern in the United States, which affects 1 in 5 children and adolescents, putting them at risk for poor health. -CDC

We are concerned about the hormonal and metabolic issues that can result from obesity, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol and triglycerides, high blood pressure, fatty liver disease, sleep apnea, polycystic ovarian syndrome in females and low testosterone in males. Especially concerning is the social anxiety, bullying, depression and low self-esteem that can ensue.
