Wesslyn DuPre, APRN, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Bariatric Weight Loss Center. She collaborates with Dr. Orlando Icaza.
Wesslyn earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Maryville University in St. Louis and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She has been providing care in the central Illinois area since 2020 and previously worked in our ASC in Springfield.
Growing up with a mom as a nurse, Wesslyn saw firsthand the impact that compassion and dedication can have on a person's life. "Hearing her stories about helping others inspired me to follow a similar path," she says. "Combining my caring nature with my admiration for my mom's work made health care feel like the perfect fit where I could make a difference."
Wesslyn chose to work specifically in the Weight Loss Center because she feels that as a provider she can help make a meaningful, long-term impact on the lives of her patients by combining medical care, education and ongoing support to help patients achieve not only weight loss, but also help improve their confidence and overall quality of life.
Wesslyn particularly enjoys getting to give back to her community through her work. "The combination of my personal ties with Springfield Clinic's mission allows me to give back to the area I call home," she says.
In her free time, Wesslyn enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, traveling and attending concerts, county fairs and truck and tractor pulls.
