Originally from Decatur, Ill., Dr. Mickey Chabak went to Illinois College in Jacksonville for undergrad and attended medical school in Springfield at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He participated in the United States Army Health Professions Scholarship Program. After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Chabak attended San Antonio Military Medical Center for his internship and radiology residency. Upon completion of his residency, he went to the University of Michigan for a musculoskeletal imaging fellowship. Dr. Chabak joined the clinic in May 2021. After a total of 12 years of active duty in the US Army, Dr. Chabak finished his time at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He and his family then moved back to Illinois to be closer to family and longtime friends. Outside of work, Dr. Chabak enjoys spending time with his wife and watching his children enjoy sports and activities. His son plays baseball, basketball and also runs cross country. His daughter is in dance and cheer. He enjoys traveling, smoking meat on the pellet smoker and is an avid Chicago Bears football fan, St. Louis Cardinals fan and Illinois Fighting Illini fan.
