Lucas Chesko, APRN, DNP, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Family Medicine team and collaborated with Dr. Joseph Standard.

Lucas earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the University of Illinois-Chicago. He has been with Springfield Clinic since 2022 as a registered nurse. Prior to that, he served as a Patient Care Tech at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

Lucas' love of science classes and his unending curiosity is what eventually led him to a career in medicine. "Throughout my undergrad, the classes I was most interested in were always around health care and medicine," he says.

A Springfield native, Lucas always saw himself returning to serve his community and help them navigate their health care. "It is a great feeling when you see someone's eyes light up as they come to understand what you have been discussing," he says.

In his free time, Lucas enjoys spending time with his family and friends, being outdoors and playing with his many pets.
