Jennifer Porter, APRN, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Family Medicine team at the Springfield Clinic Main Campus West Building. She collaborates with Dr. Jennifer Schuermann and Dr. Solmaz Bauk.

Jennifer earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis, Mo., and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill. She has more than 13 years of experience in health care and most recently served as a nurse practitioner for Central Counties Health Center.

"Since I was very young, I always knew I wanted to be a nurse," says Jennifer. "I have always enjoyed taking care of people."

Originally from Taylorville, Jennifer calls central Illinois home and is excited to provide care to patients throughout the area.

"I am most passionate about working with my patients to develop care plans that help lead them to achieve a healthy lifestyle and prevent diseases," says Jennifer.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. They enjoy camping, spending time at the lake and watching their son's BMX races.
