Elysse O'Brien, APRN, DNP, CNP, provides care at Springfield Clinic Taylorville and collaborates with Pavinderpal Gill, MD.
Elysse's interest in health care was inspired by watching her mother's nursing career and the positive impact she made in the local community. Those experiences shaped her desire to care for others and reinforced the importance of accessible, high-quality health care, especially in rural communities. Elysse earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Millikin University before completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at St. John’s College of Nursing. She also holds a Certified Nursing Assistant credential from Lincoln Land Community College.
Elysse chose family medicine because she enjoys caring for patients throughout all stages of life and values the opportunity to develop long-term relationships while supporting their health over time. She's most passionate about making a meaningful difference in patients' lives and partnering with them to achieve their health goals through compassionate, individualized care. Growing up in the Taylorville area, Elysse feels a strong connection to the community she serves and appreciates the opportunity to continue providing care close to home through Springfield Clinic.
