Brigitta Cherry, APRN, CNP, provides care with Center for Women's Health provider and collaborates with Dr. Heather Beal and Dr. Cheryl Brown at the Springfield Clinic 1st - 900 Building.

Brigitta has been working with the Center for Women's Health since 2013 as an RN. Her love for women's health care is what led her to pursue more education and become a nurse practitioner. She earned her Master of Science degree in nursing from Saint Louis University and her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Brigitta knew she wanted to be a nurse from the moment she had a nursing team care for her while in the hospital for a surgical procedure. After nursing school, she started as a labor, delivery and postpartum nurse and loved working with that group of patients. 

"Each person is different in their care and what they are experiencing," says Brigitta. "Learning about women's health and then being able to educate my patients on the different aspects of women's health care if something that I find rewarding." 

When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, especially going to her children's various sporting and school events, as well as reading, baking, being outside and going to the beach on vacation.
