Betsy Forrest, APRN, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Family Medicine team and collaborates with Dr. Julie Anne Shepherd at Springfield Clinic Macomb.

Betsy earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Maryville University in St. Louis and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia. She has provided nursing care in the greater Macomb community since 2021.

Betsy's passion from health care came from being raised in a rural community. "I quickly learned the importance of caring for those around me," she says. "That directly influenced my decision to pursue a career in health care.
Betsy finds it critically important to establish a patient-provider relationship that is rooted in and built on trust, honesty and respect. "I am passionate about engaging patients in their health to better understand their goals and expectations," she says. "I am focused on helping them feel that they are making informed decisions about their own health."

In her free time, Betsy enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, golfing, reading and staying active.
