Audrey Thursby, APRN, DNP, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic’s Family Medicine Department and sees patients at Springfield Clinic Carlinville. She collaborates with Tayler Shelton, MD.
Audrey earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from St. John’s College Department of Nursing in Springfield before completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her clinical experience includes serving as an APRN in adult primary care at Central Counties Health Centers and most recently caring for patients in the Pulmonary Department outpatient clinic with SIU Medicine.
Audrey was drawn to health care because she enjoys helping others and values the opportunity to make a difference in patients’ lives. She chose primary care because it allows her to support patients through every stage of their health journey. She says, “I choose to work in primary care because this allows me to build lasting relationships with my patients over several years.” She is especially passionate about preventive care and health screenings, helping patients stay healthy through early detection, education and proactive care.
Outside of work, Audrey enjoys coaching her children’s T-ball team each summer, attending their school activities, spending time with her family at the lake and riding her bike.
