Andrea Staples, APRN, CNP, sees family medicine patients at Springfield Clinic Jacksonville and collaborating with Dr. Natalie Mahoney and Dr. Mosam Patel.
Andrea earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from St. John's College of Nursing in Springfield, Ill., and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Prior to joining Springfield Clinic, she served as a registered nurse for five years in Springfield.
Andrea cites her own empathetic and compassionate nature as what drove her to a career in health care. "I have always felt drawn to opportunities where I could make a positive impact on people's lives," she says. "A career in health care has provided me the chance to channel my caring disposition into meaningful action by advocating for patients, offering emotional support and contributing to their healing process."
Leveraging her background as an emergency medicine nurse, Andrea collaborates with patients to establish a strong foundation of preventative care aimed at reducing long-term health complications.
Being from central Illinois, Andrea is excited to be able to use her skills to give back to the community she calls home. In her free time, Andrea enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading and living an active lifestyle.
