Springfield Clinic is excited to announce the opening of a new pediatrics clinic in the Bloomington-Normal community. Joining Springfield Clinic to open this practice is Shad Beaty, MD, FAAP, and Molly Lundy, MD. Prior to joining Springfield Clinic, they both previously practiced in Morton. The address for the new location is 2005 Jacobssen Drive, Normal.

“Springfield Clinic’s commitment is to bring and keep the highest quality health care close to home. Bloomington-Normal is a vibrant community, and we are thrilled to be expanding into the market with a new pediatric office and specialty outreach center. Springfield Clinic has been providing care for patients in this community for many years and our new location provides the opportunity to improve the experience of our patients via less travel and allowing new patients increased access for the services they need,” says Cal Thomas, Chief Development Officer. “Dr. Lundy and Dr. Beaty are well-respected physicians who have been providing exceptional care to the Peoria and Bloomington communities for years.  We are honored to partner with them and the other excellent health care providers in the region.”

A native of central Illinois, Dr. Shad Beaty completed his undergraduate degree at Illinois Wesleyan University. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and completed his pediatric residency at OSF Healthcare St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

“Science has always been a passion of mine in school, and I enjoy getting to work with people. Those two passions came together to a career in medicine,” says Beaty.

Born and raised in Chillicothe, Ill., Dr. Molly Lundy earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois Chicago and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.

“Besides being a mother, the only other thing I ever wanted to be was a pediatrician,” she says. “I was always drawn to pediatrics because children are always changing, and each family is unique. But they all share the same goal when it came to their child’s well-being, and I wanted to be a part of that.”

In addition to the pediatric office, the new location in Bloomington-Normal will also host a specialty outreach center. Additional information about the center and the physicians and providers offering services there will be coming soon.

An open house and ribbon cutting at the new Springfield Clinic facility is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 13. The ribbon cutting will be at 4:30 p.m., and the open house will start afterwards and go until 6:30 p.m. Come meet our newest pediatricians on the Springfield Clinic team.
