Springfield Clinic is happy to announce a new affiliation in Peoria, Ill., with Peoria Surgical Group, Ltd (PSG), a well-established, locally owned and operated surgical practice.

“Peoria Surgical Group has been caring for their community for decades. They have dedicated themselves to creating genuine relationships with their patients, which has led to great results and a quality experience for everyone involved,” says Cal Thomas, Springfield Clinic's vice-president of business development and marketing. “That approach aligns directly with Springfield Clinic's core principals and makes this affiliation a natural fit. We're excited for the ways in which we can grow together and for what that means for our patients.”

For more than 60 years, PSG has fulfilled its mission to provide safe, high-quality, patient-focused care and educate future surgeons and physicians in the Peoria area. The group is comprised of 11 surgeons and four advanced practitioners who provide procedures in the colon and rectal, general surgery, breast surgery, plastic surgery, surgical oncology, surgical weight loss and thoracic surgery specialties. They also offer minimally invasive surgery and procedures for hernia treatment, LINX reflux management and Mediport® insertion.

PSG’s surgeons will continue to practice at their downtown Peoria location at 1001 Main Street, Suite #300, now known as Springfield Clinic Peoria, and can still be reached at their current phone number, 309.495.0200. They will retain their privileges at local hospitals and continue to provide excellent patient care in the same way they have been doing for six decades.
