As a part of the 2023 SC Celebrates award year, the SC Celebrates committee reviewed the nominations of the 240 2023 winners and selected eight "SC Celebrates superstars" to receive extra special recognition and reward. These individuals received a surprise visit from their admin and coworkers, an award commemorating their achievement, eight hours of PTO to use at their discretion and a presentation to the Board of Directors. Brandi Workman - Manager, TeleNurse
"Brandi has been an integral part of the department for most of her tenure here at SC. She continues to work alongside the rest of the team performing the daily duties anytime a situation arises that this is warranted. And she does so without hesitation and with the same expertise she has exhibited for years. This alone keeps her well respected by her team. We are lucky to have her as a part of our team!"

"Katie steps up to lead all three labs in the Jacksonville area. My team knows that they can reach out to Kate for assistance, questions and troubleshooting. When Kate is not scheduled in Jacksonville, she has helped cover short staffing at Urgent Care, Springfield Oncology and Main Campus Labs. Kate is a huge asset to the Jacksonville labs and to the Lab team as a whole."

She would spend extra time with me, trying to calm me down, talk through what to expect, give me the best advice for the safety of myself and my unborn child. I just always felt much better leaving there then I did when I walked in because of fear and worry. I never questioned if she was listening out of obligation as my nurse or as a nurse who truly cared about me and my physical and mental wellbeing as a person not just a "'patient.'"
